Special consultation meeting on China-Africa economic and trade exchanges

On the morning of December 20, the Jiulongpo District Political Consultative Conference of Chongqing held a special consultation meeting on China-Africa economic and trade exchanges on "Smart New Jiulong". Song Hong, chairman of the District Political Consultative Conference, attended and spoke.

The meeting listened to the report of the District Commerce Commission on the development of the African market. Special guests, CPPCC members, relevant departments, and corporate leaders actively made suggestions and put forward opinions and suggestions on the development difficulties and potential opportunities encountered by enterprises in the African market, policy support, financial services, information sharing, etc. around the consultation theme.

More than 30 enterprises in the jurisdiction, including Huashidan, Xinyuan, Zaitian, and Senkai, seized the opportunity to expand their export business in Africa. From January to October 2024, imports and exports involving Africa reached 1.6 billion yuan, mainly including motorcycles, agricultural machinery, general machinery, and power equipment. At present, five companies, including Qingxing Industry and Huigong Overseas Machinery, have established companies in Africa with an investment of more than 6 million yuan, mainly engaged in foreign contracting projects.

After carefully listening to the speeches of the participants, our company realized that it is necessary to accurately grasp the international and domestic situation and its own reality, focus on key areas such as industrialization, agricultural modernization, and talent training in Africa, and promote the cooperation between our region and African countries to a higher level, deeper level, and wider field.
